(More customer reviews)I received the Arlee Home Fashion Whisper Faux Silk thermal backed rod pocket curtains in off white. These curtains are somewhat okay. The material is odd, even though the package says that the material is 100% polyester, it feels more like acetate, like a coat lining. It has a sheen that doesn't show so much in the pictures here. The thermal backing feels more like latex. Whatever it is made of, it doesn't have a nice heft or drape to it. It is a bit slouchy. You may have to add more panels than usual if you want a fuller look.
Upon arrival the thermal lining will be stuck to itself (like a latex glove) and you will have to gently pull it apart so as not to rip it. Care instructions recommend machine wash in cold on gentle cycle and a cool iron if needed. I haven't tested that but I'm a bit
worried these curtains might not make it through a wash cycle let alone a cool iron. On the plus side they are very light weight, they do block sunlight, the lining probably will prevent cool air from penetrating and the stitching, color and size were good.The price was low which is probably this curtain's greatest selling point.
