Finding the perfect piece was more difficult than anticipated. I originally looked at the Salamander series, designed specifically for a/v equipment. The only issue here is the series starts at $1000 and only goes up from there.

Luckily, I stumbled upon Techcraft's SWBL60, which perfectly houses my Onkyo 906 in the center shelf and U-verse, ps3 and xbox components on the side. The glass panels don't seem to cause any IR issues, which is always a concern. I did however have to skip on installing the middle door to get the receiver to fit.

Why 4 stars and not 5? One of the pieces has damage from shipping, not noticeable unless you get up close. Also, I should point out, after assembling the unit with extra care as to not scratch or damage the unit any further, I ended up scratching the top surface after the fact. This occurred when leaning over the unit to hook up the a/v equipment and slid my power drill's battery pack out of the way. The pack isn't even all that heavy, but apparently was coarse enough to scratch. ugh. Just like the shipping issue, only noticeable up close. The moral here, you get what you paid for.

All in all, the unit is beautiful and my friends think I paid a lot more than I did. I don't think it's the piece you would want to move from apartment to apartment, so make sure its assembled at its final destination.
